Daily Routine
Paul Cézanne woke up at dawn, traveled to his studio for 6 am, and would not stop painting until 10:30. He would later travel back to Aix to eat breakfast and, immediately after his meal was finished, he’d return to his studio to paint. From time to time, if the weather permitted, Cézanne would hire a horse and cart to review spots for potential landscape paintings. He would finish the day’s painting by 17:00 in the evening. After supper, Cézanne would immediately retire to bed to be ready to rise again at dawn.
