Daily Routine

While an active gymnast, Nadia trained with her coach, Karolyi, up to eight hours a day, six days a week. One characteristic that her coach claims separates Nadia from her colleagues is her lack of fear.

In addition to her strict practice, Nadia's coach also had her adhere to a rigorous diet of fruit, milk, cheese, and protein to maintain her lean physique.

The head manager of the US Olympic's team has said that Nadia would "repeat things as many times as she can without rest to increase her endurance and strength".

Nadia is also known for a high degree of perfection and was reluctant to begin her routines unless everything was perfect. For example, she's been known to wait for a couple of minutes before performing a routine as she let the crowd settle down and her body achieve a level of calm.
